A new MRI suite was unveiled at The Children's Hospital at Westmead yesterday (September 3) by federal minister for health Tanya Plibersek, NSW minister for health and minister for medical research Jillian Skinner and member for Parramatta Geoff Lee.
"The Children’s Hospital at Westmead is a leader in paediatric care, not just in NSW but across Australia," Mrs Skinner said.
"It’s wonderful to be here today to see the vital services provided by this facility enhanced with the addition of the new MRI suite. This is a positive step for NSW patients and their families."
Mrs Skinner said that the NSW government will support the operating costs of the services that the new MRI suite provides.
"This MRI suite will be used in conjunction with the Hospital’s existing MRI suite which will see reduced waiting times for important diagnoses," she said.
If you place your children's health as a high priority, then it may be in your interests to get a health insurance plan sorted.
You can organise for a policy to cover the whole family, such as the family health insurance plan, to ensure that you can access new medical facilities and get the appropriate care and treatment for your needs.
